രുചികരമായ കോഴി മുളകിട്ടത് || Quick & Easy Chicken Mulakittathu || One Pot Chicken|| Ep:665


Hi. Namaskar. How are you? Hope all are doing good. Here all of us are fine. Today I am here with a chicken recipe. Its chicken mulakitathu. This can be made in a blink of an eye. You just have to mix all and close it and cook. Thats it. I had posted a one pot chicken recipe before. Its almost the same with small changes in it. That small changes does bring a lot of difference to the dish. All of you do try it out and see. I had posted chicken ghee roast before. That was a Manglorean recipe. I think many have not seen that yet Dont forget to check it out and try it. So lets see how to make our tasty chicken mulakittathu. Lets begin to make chicken mulakitathu. I have taken 1kg chicken here. Wash it well and keep it to drain. This is now dry with no water in it. Its fresh chicken. You can do it with skinless chicken and boneless pieces too. Kids would prefer boneless chicken. When I make it for kids, I follow the same recipe using chicken breast pieces. Now lets keep this aside. Take a kadayi. We are going to make our chicken in this. Add 1tbs chilli powder and 1tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder to the kadayi. Heat it till the raw smell goes. This is optional. But it gives a good colour when you add Kashmiri chilli powder here. If you dont have Kashmiri chilli powder its ok. Some get confused when I say Kashmiri chilli powder Its the shrunk chillies. Add 1/4tsp turmeric powder to it. We will be adding garam masala at teh end. We wont be adding coriander powder to this. Next add 2 sliced onions. You can use 1/4kg shallots instead also. I am adding just onions now. These are 2 big onions. Next add crushed ginger garlic and green chillies. I have taken a medium sized ginger, 6 cloves of garlic and 4 green chillies. You can crush or chop them. I have crushed it. Next add 3 medium sized chopped ripe tomatoes. Some curry leaves, little salt and 2tbsp coconut oil. Mix all these well with your hand. Its an easy recipe convinient for bachelors. Make sure the masala reaches all over. You can adjust the spice level according to your taste. Add more green chillies or crushed pepper if you want. Do not add lots of chilies in the beginning itself. Then you can reduce it later on. Those who dont eat chicken can taste the masal now. Salt should stand little in front. Only then it will be absorbed by the chicken well. The spice is correct. Let me add little more salt. Now add the chicken to this. Its and easy recipe. Its just like the one pot chicken recipe. Just small changes which brings changes in the taste. Now add the water drained chicken pieces to the masala. Mix this well. Make sure the masala has reached all over. I am not adding water here. It will ooze out from the chicken. Let it cook in that water. That will taste more better. If you feel water is less, add hot water later on. Now lets cook this n medium flame. Dont forget to open and stir it at intervals. Its getting cooked in this water Let it get cooked well like this. Now the chicken is well cooked. You can test by breaking a piece of chicken. If you want more gravy, add more hot water to roast it till it becomes dry. I am going to make this dry. Lets add 1/2tsp garam masala to this now and some pepper powder Its like a fish curry masala. We are not adding any other powders to this. Let me taste the gravy. Adding little more salt. I had some fried onions with me. Adding them. Its optional. Added it because it enhances the taste. Now lets roast it. I like to do it that way than having it as gravy. 1tbsp chilli powder and 1tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder. Too much of chilli powder wont be good. Adjust the spice according to your taste. Lets thicken this on medium flame. Let me add some coconut oil and roast it for some time. Now our chicken mulakitathu is ready. The oil has come up. This is the time when it shows its done. Sprinkle some curry leaves over it. Sprinkle some pepper powder over it. No need to add coconut oil again. There is enough in it. You can make changes as per your taste. Our easy peasy chicken mulakitathu is ready. The plumber came in between. By the time I came back, the chicken looks like chicken pickle. Look at the colour. Its because of the Kashmiri chilli powder. Let me taste it finally. Its awesome. The spice and salt are all perfect. I have taken photos and come. Its simple and can be made by anybody.
