MS Harborfest helps fight multiple sclerosis


PAUL: BRYCE POULIN CAUGHT THE BIGGEST SMALLMOUTH BASS. MAINE MARINERS GOT COMPETITIVE ON CASCO BAY TODAY. FOR 34 YEARS NOW, M.S. HARBORFEST HAS BEEN BRINGING MAINERS WITH MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS AND BOATERS TOGETHER TO HELP FIGHT THE DISEASE. MS CURRENTLY AFFECTS MORE THAN 3000 PEOPLE IN MAINE. MS HARBORFEST IS A THREE-DAY-LONG EVENT FEATURING A REGATTA, LOBSTER AND TUGBOAT RACES, AND A BENEFIT AUCTION. TODAY, TEAMS COMPETED IN THE LOBSTER BOATS RACES AS WELL AS IN THE TUG BOAT MUSTER AND RACE. DIRECTORS OF THE NATIONAL MS SOCIETY SAY THE EVENT IS ALL ABOUT SPREADING AWARENESS AND BRINGING PEOPLE TOGETHER. IT IS JUST SPECTACULAR. IT COULD NOT HAPPEN ANYWHERE ELSE. IT IS UNIQUE DOMAIN.
